Dražen Ilinčić (Zagreb, 1962) is a Croatian journalist, playwright and a writer. He graduated in English Language and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb. As a student, he was a contributor in the Cultural section of Večernji list, and after graduation he worked there as a journalist and a film critic. In 2011 he started working on Croatian National Television, as the editor of the programme dedicated to cultural events, Pola ure kulture.

He published his first work of prose, The Berlin Towel in 2006, followed by The Shortest Stories (2008), The Last Step (2013), The Strange Case of N. the Journalist (2018). He wrote and directed the documentary Amato (2008).
