After being longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award and shortlisted for the international EBRD Literature Prize 2025, Ivana Bodrožić’s novel Sons, Daughters has advanced to the final round of the latter! Joining Bodrožić in the finals are Ukrainian author Tanja Maljartschuk with her novel Forgottenness and Polish Nobel laureate Olga Tokarczuk with The Empusium: A Health Resort Horror Story.

Croatia at the Leipzig Book Fair 2025

Croatia is participating at the Leipzig Book Fair 2025 in collaboration with the Traduki network, that connects Southeast Europe with the German-speaking world. From March 27-30, a selection of recent works in Croatian fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels and children’s literature will be exhibited at the Croatian National Stand (H4 D306).

Croatian illustrators at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair

This year’s exhibition of illustrators at the Bologna Book Fair, which showcases new talent since 1967.,
will feature illustrations from Saturn at the FUTURE Winter Swimming Pool by the Croatian illustrator Vendi Vernić!
The international jury first shortlisted 324 candidates, among which another Croatian illustrator, Agata Lučić with her new, unpublished works.

Titles Published by the Croatian-American Publisher Sandorf Passage Nominated for Prestigious International Literary Awards

Sandorf Passage was founded in South Portland, Maine in 2020 by the Zagreb-based publisher Ivan Sršen and his American colleague, freelance literary editor Buzz Poole. Since then, Sandorf Passage has published twenty-five titles, primarily high-quality literature in translation. Last week, two of Sandorf Passage's novels were longlisted for two significant English-language literary awards.
