
Miroslav Kirin
Miroslav Kirin (Sisak, 1965) writes poetry, prose, and essays, and is a distinguished translator of contemporary American literature. He made his poetic debut with the collection From Her to Eternity for which he received the prestigious Goran Prize for Young Poets in 1989. In 2001 he was rewarded for his autobiographical prose, The Album, with The Jutarnji List Prize for the best fiction in Croatia. Parts of The Album have been published in the American journal Gowanus.
Kirin is also a member of the managing board of Goranovo Proljeće, the most important poetry festival in Croatia. His poetry and fiction have been translated into Chinese English, German, Hungarian, Romanian, and Russian.
