Darija Žilić (Zagreb, 1972) is an award-winning poet, literary critic, and translator. She graduated in comparative literature and history from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science in Zagreb. Her poems have been translated into English, Italian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Turkish and Slovenian and included in several foreign editions including an anthology of contemporary Croatian poetry Surfacing published by Harbor Mountain Press in USA.
Avid essayist, her works on contemporary poetry, literary theory, and activism have been published in numerous magazines such as Zarez, Kolo, Vijenac, Književna republika, Filozofska istraživanja, Republika, Riječi, Forum to name a few. Among the awards she received for her work are The Kiklop Award for the best book of poetry 2010 for Dance, Modesty, Dance, and Julije Benešić Award for the outstanding critical work 2010 for Muse outside Ghetto.
