Suzana Matić
Suzana Matić (Mainz, 1970) graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Design, University of Zagreb. Matić has had short stories published by magazines and newspapers Večernji list, Zbornik trećeg programa, Književna republika, Fantom slobode and Zbornik gornjogradskog književnog oglasnika, while her poetry has been published in literary magazines Poezija, Artikulacije and Zarez. Her works are frequently read on the culture-oriented channel of the Croatian Radiotelevision.
Suzana Matić was a finalist for various national and international literary awards: the international short story award Karver, awarded by the Vranac festival in 2015 in Podgorica, Montenegro; the Lapis Histriae short story contest (2017); the Croatian Festival of European Short Story Award (2017, 2018); the Zlatko Tomic short story contest (2017) and others.
Her short stories have been translated into English and published in Relations and Underpass. Her poems have been translated into English and Romanian, and published in the Romanian literary magazine Orizont literar contemporan.
