'Anthology of the modern Croatian' poetry published in China
02/11/2020The Chinese Writers Association has published the Anthology of the Modern Croatian Poetry curated by the poet, editor and critic Ervin Jahić (Kuća pisaca, October 2020, translated into Chinese by Hong Yuqing and Peng Yuchao). The collection contains almost 200 poems by 60 Croatian poets, and the book itself is a part of the mutual literary translation project between the Croatian and Chinese Writers Association.
The project was inaugurated by the Chinese anthology Neighborhood in the Clouds (HDP, Biblioteka Poezije, Zagreb, 2017, translated into Chinese by Lucija Čurić and Ivana Gubić).
The Anthology of the Modern Croatian Poetry was launched on October 27th in Beijing, and it represents the most ambitious and extensive presentation of the Croatian literature to the Chinese readers.
