Vladimir Stojsavljević has graduated directing at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic
Art. He has won a number of awards for his plays and dramatic texts. Among his
more relevant plays there are Kradljivac knjiga (The Book Thief), Katarina Zrinska od
Frankopana (Katarina Zrinska of the Frankopan Family), Norveške šume (Norwegian
Forests). Ljetni dnevnik rata (Summer War Journal) of 1991 is considered the first
prose piece about the war in Croatia. In 2009, Stojsavljević published the acclaimed
novel Pula, and in 2011 Život bez imena (Life Without a Name).
