Croatian author Martina Vidaić, and her novel Bedbugs, is one of the 13 nominees for the European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) 2023! 

EUPL recognises emerging fiction writers from the European Union and beyond – 41 countries participating in the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. Across a cycle of three years, the Prize celebrates 41 outstanding new literary talents, and the 2023 EUPL Prize winner (along with the five special mentions, as recognized by the jury) will be revealed on 28th April, during the announcement ceremony at the Leipzig Book Fair. 

Vidaić’s Bedbugs have been published in 2021 by Naklada Ljevak and shortlisted for the Fric Award, awarded annually for the Best Prose Fiction written in the Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian, or Montenegrin language.
